Prerequisites/Requirements
- n8n Instance: A running instance of n8n to import and execute the workflow.
- YouTube Account: A YouTube account with API access enabled and appropriate credentials configured in n8n for the YouTube node.
- (Optional) API Keys/Credentials: For any additional platforms (Instagram, TikTok) you intend to integrate using the HTTP Request node, you will need their respective API keys and credentials.
Setup/Usage
- Import the workflow: Download the provided JSON and import it into your n8n instance.
- Configure Credentials:
- For the YouTube node, you will need to set up a Google OAuth 2.0 credential in n8n. Follow the n8n documentation for Google OAuth 2.0 (Single Service) to configure it correctly.
- If you plan to use the HTTP Request node for other platforms, configure the necessary API keys or authentication methods within that node as required by the target platform.
- Customize "Edit Fields": Modify the "Edit Fields" (Set) node to define the video metadata (title, description, tags, etc.) that you want to use for publishing. You can hardcode values or pull them from previous nodes if you extend the workflow.
- Configure "Switch" (for multi-platform): The "Switch" node is currently a placeholder. To enable multi-platform publishing, you would configure its conditions to route the workflow based on a platform identifier (e.g., if a field
platformis 'YouTube', 'Instagram', or 'TikTok'). - Extend for Instagram/TikTok:
- For Instagram and TikTok, you would typically add new branches from the "Switch" node.
- Within each branch, configure the "HTTP Request" node or dedicated app nodes (if available in n8n) to interact with the respective platform's API for video uploads. This will require understanding each platform's API documentation.
- Execute the workflow: Click the "Execute workflow" button in the n8n editor to run the workflow manually. You can also activate the workflow to run on a schedule or via a webhook if you add a trigger node.
