What it does

  1. Schedules Monitoring: The workflow runs on a defined schedule (e.g., every 15 minutes) to check for new posts.
  2. Reads RSS Feeds: It fetches the latest posts from configured RSS feeds, which can be generated for Twitter accounts (e.g., using a service like Nitter for public accounts).
  3. Filters Posts: It applies a filter to ensure only relevant posts are processed. This could be based on keywords, post length, or other criteria.
  4. Generates AI Summary: For each filtered post, it uses the Google Gemini AI model to generate a concise "intelligence summary." This summary aims to extract key information and provide a brief overview.
  5. Stores Data (Optional/Placeholder): The workflow includes a placeholder for storing the original post and its AI summary in a PostgreSQL database. This step is currently disconnected but can be easily enabled and configured.
  6. Sends Telegram Notification: The generated intelligence summary is then sent as a message to a specified Telegram chat or channel.

Prerequisites/Requirements

To use this workflow, you will need:

  • n8n Instance: A running n8n instance.
  • RSS Feeds for Twitter Accounts: You'll need a way to generate RSS feeds for the Twitter accounts you wish to monitor. Services like Nitter (a free and open-source alternative Twitter front-end) can provide RSS feeds for public Twitter profiles.
  • Google Gemini API Key: An API key for Google Gemini to enable AI summary generation.
  • Telegram Bot Token & Chat ID: A Telegram bot token and the chat ID of the channel or group where you want to receive notifications.
  • PostgreSQL Database (Optional): If you intend to store the data, access to a PostgreSQL database.

Setup/Usage

  1. Import the Workflow:
    • Download the provided JSON workflow definition.
    • In your n8n instance, go to "Workflows" and click "New".
    • Click the "Import from JSON" button and paste the workflow JSON or upload the file.
  2. Configure Credentials:
    • Google Gemini: Create a new Google Gemini credential in n8n and provide your API key.
    • Telegram: Create a new Telegram credential in n8n using your bot token.
    • Postgres (Optional): If enabling the Postgres node, create a new Postgres credential in n8n with your database connection details.
  3. Configure Nodes:
    • Schedule Trigger (Node 839): Adjust the schedule as needed (e.g., every 15 minutes, hourly).
    • RSS Read (Node 37):
      • Add the RSS feed URLs for the Twitter accounts you want to monitor.
      • Ensure "Return All" is set to false to only get new items.
    • Filter (Node 844):
      • Customize the filter conditions based on your needs. For example, you might filter by keywords in the title or description of the RSS items.
    • Google Gemini (Node 1309):
      • Select your Google Gemini credential.

    • Telegram (Node 49):
      • Select your Telegram credential.
      • Set the "Chat ID" to your target Telegram chat/channel ID.
      • Configure the "Text" field to include the AI-generated summary, for example: New Intelligence Summary: {{ $json.text }}.
    • Postgres (Node 30) (Optional):
      • If you want to store data, connect this node after the "Google Gemini" node.
      • Configure the "Operation" (e.g., Insert) and "Table Name".
      • Map the fields from the previous nodes (e.g., original tweet content, AI summary) to your database columns.
  4. Activate the Workflow:
    • Once configured, save the workflow and activate it by toggling the "Active" switch in the top right corner.

The workflow will now run automatically on your defined schedule, monitoring Twitter accounts, summarizing posts with AI, and sending notifications to Telegram.
