  1. Monitors emails with the 'AI-Agent' label
  2. AI classification into categories: Inquiry, Support, Newsletter, Action Item

Setup Requirements

What it does

  1. Triggers on New Emails: Listens for new emails in your Gmail inbox.
  2. Extracts Email Content: Retrieves the subject and body of the incoming email.
  3. Classifies Email with AI: Uses an OpenAI Chat Model to classify the email content into predefined categories (e.g., "Urgent," "Information," "Spam," "General Inquiry").
  4. Routes Based on Classification: A Switch node directs the workflow based on the AI-generated classification.
  5. Generates Gmail Drafts:
    • For "Urgent" emails, it generates a draft reply in Gmail, indicating the email is urgent.
    • For "General Inquiry" emails, it generates a draft reply in Gmail, indicating it's a general inquiry.
  6. Sends Slack Alerts:
    • For "Urgent" emails, it sends a Slack message to a designated channel, alerting the team about the urgent email and its content.
    • For "Spam" emails, it sends a Slack message to a designated channel, notifying about a detected spam email.
  7. Handles Other Categories: For other classifications like "Information," "General Inquiry", or unclassified emails, the workflow can be extended to handle them as needed (e.g., log them, mark as read, etc.).

Prerequisites/Requirements

  • n8n Account: A running n8n instance.

Setup/Usage

  2. Configure Credentials:

  3. Customize AI Agent (Optional but Recommended):
