Convert websites to Instagram Reels with Gemini Veo, OpenAI TTS, and JsonCut
⚠️ Important: This workflow uses community nodes (JsonCut, Blotato) and requires a self-hosted n8n instance.
This n8n template automates the entire process of transforming blog articles and any kind of other websites into short-form informational videos for Instagram. It scrapes content, generates AI-powered video clips, adds voiceover and subtitles, and publishes directly to social media—all with proper source attribution and branding.
Who's it for
Content creators, digital marketers, and social media managers who want to repurpose quality blog content into engaging video formats. Perfect for those running content marketing operations who need to maintain consistent social media presence without manual video editing.
What it does
The workflow takes a blog article URL as input and produces a fully composed Instagram-ready video with:
- AI-generated background video clips matching the content
- Professional text-to-speech narration
- Auto-generated subtitles with word-by-word animations
- Background music from Creative Commons sources
- Branding overlay and source attribution
- Smooth transitions between scenes
- Direct publishing to Instagram
How it works
- Content Extraction: Firecrawl scrapes the blog article and extracts clean markdown content
- Content Summarization: An LLM via OpenRouter condenses the article into digestible talking points (max 1,000 characters)
- Script Generation: A second LLM generates 3-5 video prompts, narration text, and social media caption in structured JSON format
- Video Generation: Google Veo API creates 8-second background clips in 9:16 format for each prompt
- Audio Creation: OpenAI TTS converts the narration to speech, while Openverse API fetches royalty-free background music
- File Upload: All assets (videos, voice, music) are uploaded to JsonCut's storage
- Video Composition: JsonCut merges everything together with auto-subtitles, transitions, branding overlays, and source attribution
- Publishing: Blotato uploads the final video to Instagram as a reel with the generated caption

Rate limits: Google Veo free tier is limited to 10 requests per day, which means ~2-3 complete workflows daily
Processing time: Full workflow takes 5-10 minutes depending on Veo API response times
Source attribution: The workflow automatically extracts the domain from the input URL and displays it on the first video clip
Video quality: Output depends heavily on input quality. The workflow is designed for repurposing legitimate content
n8n Workflow: AI-Powered Website to Instagram Reel Converter
This n8n workflow leverages the power of AI to transform website content into engaging Instagram Reels. It automates the process of extracting information from a given URL, generating a script, creating a voiceover, and producing a video, making it easy to repurpose web content for social media.
What it does
This workflow streamlines the content creation process through the following steps:
- Receives Chat Message: The workflow is triggered by an incoming chat message, likely containing a URL to a website.
- Generates Reel Script: An AI Agent (LangChain) processes the website content to generate a script suitable for an Instagram Reel.
- Parses Script JSON: A Structured Output Parser extracts the structured script (e.g., title, description, key points) from the AI Agent's output.
- Creates Voiceover: The script is then fed to an OpenAI node to generate an audio voiceover.
- Generates Video: The voiceover and script elements are combined to generate a video, likely using a third-party service (implied by the HTTP Request node and the overall goal).
- Aggregates and Splits Data: Data is aggregated and then split out to ensure proper formatting and handling for subsequent steps, potentially for parallel processing or specific data transformations.
- Sends Video for Processing: An HTTP Request node sends the generated video and associated data to an external service for final processing or posting.
Prerequisites/Requirements
To use this workflow, you will need:
- n8n Instance: A running instance of n8n.
- AI Agent Credentials: Access to a LangChain AI Agent, configured with appropriate models (e.g., Google Gemini, OpenRouter Chat Model).
- OpenAI API Key: For generating voiceovers.
- OpenRouter API Key (Optional): If using the OpenRouter Chat Model.
- Google Gemini API Key (Optional): If using the Google Gemini model.
- External Video Generation/Posting Service: The HTTP Request node at the end implies integration with a service that can take the generated script/audio/video and create/post the Instagram Reel. You will need credentials and API details for this service.
Setup/Usage
- Import the Workflow: Download the provided JSON and import it into your n8n instance.
- Configure Credentials:
- AI Agent: Configure the "AI Agent" node with your desired LangChain setup, including the Language Model (e.g., "Google Gemini" or "OpenRouter Chat Model"). Ensure the selected model has the necessary API keys configured as n8n credentials.
- OpenAI: Configure the "OpenAI" node with your OpenAI API key for TTS (Text-to-Speech).
- HTTP Request: Update the "HTTP Request" node with the endpoint and authentication details for your external video generation/posting service.
- Activate the Workflow: Once all credentials are set, activate the workflow.
- Trigger the Workflow: Send a chat message containing a website URL to the configured "Chat Trigger" node to initiate the process.

🎓 How to transform unstructured email data into structured format with AI agent
This workflow automates the process of extracting structured, usable information from unstructured email messages across multiple platforms. It connects directly to Gmail, Outlook, and IMAP accounts, retrieves incoming emails, and sends their content to an AI-powered parsing agent built on OpenAI GPT models. The AI agent analyzes each email, identifies relevant details, and returns a clean JSON structure containing key fields: From – sender’s email address To – recipient’s email address Subject – email subject line Summary – short AI-generated summary of the email body The extracted information is then automatically inserted into an n8n Data Table, creating a structured database of email metadata and summaries ready for indexing, reporting, or integration with other tools. --- Key Benefits ✅ Full Automation: Eliminates manual reading and data entry from incoming emails. ✅ Multi-Source Integration: Handles data from different email providers seamlessly. ✅ AI-Driven Accuracy: Uses advanced language models to interpret complex or unformatted content. ✅ Structured Storage: Creates a standardized, query-ready dataset from previously unstructured text. ✅ Time Efficiency: Processes emails in real time, improving productivity and response speed. *✅ Scalability: Easily extendable to handle additional sources or extract more data fields. --- How it works This workflow automates the transformation of unstructured email data into a structured, queryable format. It operates through a series of connected steps: Email Triggering: The workflow is initiated by one of three different email triggers (Gmail, Microsoft Outlook, or a generic IMAP account), which constantly monitor for new incoming emails. AI-Powered Parsing & Structuring: When a new email is detected, its raw, unstructured content is passed to a central "Parsing Agent." This agent uses a specified OpenAI language model to intelligently analyze the email text. Data Extraction & Standardization: Following a predefined system prompt, the AI agent extracts key information from the email, such as the sender, recipient, subject, and a generated summary. It then forces the output into a strict JSON structure using a "Structured Output Parser" node, ensuring data consistency. Data Storage: Finally, the clean, structured data (the from, to, subject, and summarize fields) is inserted as a new row into a specified n8n Data Table, creating a searchable and reportable database of email information. --- Set up steps To implement this workflow, follow these configuration steps: Prepare the Data Table: Create a new Data Table within n8n. Define the columns with the following names and string type: From, To, Subject, and Summary. Configure Email Credentials: Set up the credential connections for the email services you wish to use (Gmail OAuth2, Microsoft Outlook OAuth2, and/or IMAP). Ensure the accounts have the necessary permissions to read emails. Configure AI Model Credentials: Set up the OpenAI API credential with a valid API key. The workflow is configured to use the model, but this can be changed in the respective nodes if needed. Connect the Nodes: The workflow canvas is already correctly wired. Visually confirm that the email triggers are connected to the "Parsing Agent," which is connected to the "Insert row" (Data Table) node. Also, ensure the "OpenAI Chat Model" and "Structured Output Parser" are connected to the "Parsing Agent" as its AI model and output parser, respectively. Activate the Workflow: Save the workflow and toggle the "Active" switch to ON. The triggers will begin polling for new emails according to their schedule (e.g., every minute), and the automation will start processing incoming messages. --- Need help customizing?
