n8n Workflow: Meeting Prep with Google Calendar, Tavily AI Research & Gmail Briefings

This n8n workflow automates the process of preparing for upcoming meetings by extracting event details from Google Calendar, potentially performing AI-driven research, and then sending a briefing email via Gmail.

What it does

This workflow is designed to streamline your meeting preparation by:

  1. Triggering on a Schedule: The workflow starts at predefined intervals (e.g., daily) to check for upcoming meetings.
  2. Fetching Google Calendar Events: It retrieves events from your Google Calendar. (Note: The specific configuration for fetching events, such as time range or calendar ID, is not visible in the provided JSON but is a standard capability of the Google Calendar node).
  3. Conditional Logic: It includes an "If" node, suggesting that further actions might depend on specific conditions of the retrieved calendar events (e.g., if the event has a certain keyword, duration, or attendee count).
  4. Data Transformation: An "Edit Fields (Set)" node is present, indicating that data from the calendar event might be transformed or new fields added for subsequent steps.
  5. Custom Code Execution: A "Code" node is included, allowing for custom JavaScript logic to be executed. This could be used for advanced data manipulation, calling external APIs (like Tavily AI for research, as hinted by the directory name), or generating dynamic content.
  6. Sending Gmail Briefings: A "Gmail" node is available, likely used to send a summary or briefing email based on the processed meeting information and any research performed.
  7. No Operation (Placeholder/Fallback): A "No Operation, do nothing" node is present, which often serves as a placeholder for future development or as a fallback path in conditional logic where no action is required.
  8. Sticky Note: A "Sticky Note" node is included, typically used for documentation or temporary notes within the workflow itself.

Prerequisites/Requirements

To use this workflow, you will need:

  • n8n Instance: A running n8n instance to import and execute the workflow.
  • Google Account: A Google account with access to Google Calendar and Gmail.
  • Google Calendar Credential: An n8n credential configured for Google Calendar (OAuth 2.0).
  • Gmail Credential: An n8n credential configured for Gmail (OAuth 2.0).
  • Tavily AI (Potential): While not explicitly shown in the nodes, the directory name suggests integration with Tavily AI. If so, an API key or credential for Tavily AI would be required, likely used within the "Code" node.

Setup/Usage

  1. Import the Workflow: Download the workflow JSON and import it into your n8n instance.
  2. Configure Credentials:
    • Set up your Google Calendar OAuth 2.0 credential.
    • Set up your Gmail OAuth 2.0 credential.
    • If using Tavily AI, configure any necessary API keys or credentials, likely within the "Code" node.
  3. Configure Schedule Trigger: Adjust the "Schedule Trigger" node to your desired frequency for checking upcoming meetings (e.g., daily at 8 AM).
  4. Configure Google Calendar Node:
    • Specify which calendar to monitor.
    • Define the time range for events to fetch (e.g., "today" or "next 24 hours").
  5. Configure If Node:
    • Define the conditions for when the workflow should proceed with research or briefing. For example, {{ $json.name.includes('Important') }} to only process meetings with "Important" in their title.
  6. Customize Code Node:
    • Modify the "Code" node to perform specific research tasks using an AI service like Tavily (e.g., "Research attendees' companies", "Summarize topics related to meeting title").
    • Ensure the code outputs the desired information for the Gmail briefing.
  7. Configure Gmail Node:
    • Specify the recipient(s) for the briefing email.
    • Customize the email subject and body using data from previous nodes (e.g., meeting details, research summary).
  8. Activate the Workflow: Once configured, activate the workflow to start automating your meeting preparation.

Automate Reddit brand monitoring & responses with GPT-4o-mini, Sheets & Slack

How it Works This workflow automates intelligent Reddit marketing by monitoring brand mentions, analyzing sentiment with AI, and engaging authentically with communities. Every 24 hours, the system searches Reddit for posts containing your configured brand keywords across all subreddits, finding up to 50 of the newest mentions to analyze. Each discovered post is sent to OpenAI's GPT-4o-mini model for comprehensive analysis. The AI evaluates sentiment (positive/neutral/negative), assigns an engagement score (0-100), determines relevance to your brand, and generates contextual, helpful responses that add genuine value to the conversation. It also classifies the response type (educational/supportive/promotional) and provides reasoning for whether engagement is appropriate. The workflow intelligently filters posts using a multi-criteria system: only posts that are relevant to your brand, score above 60 in engagement quality, and warrant a response type other than "pass" proceed to engagement. This prevents spam and ensures every interaction is meaningful. Selected posts are processed one at a time through a loop to respect Reddit's rate limits. For each worthy post, the AI-generated comment is posted, and complete interaction data is logged to Google Sheets including timestamp, post details, sentiment, engagement scores, and success status. This creates a permanent audit trail and analytics database. At the end of each run, the workflow aggregates all data into a comprehensive daily summary report with total posts analyzed, comments posted, engagement rate, sentiment breakdown, and the top 5 engagement opportunities ranked by score. This report is automatically sent to Slack with formatted metrics, giving your team instant visibility into your Reddit marketing performance. --- Who is this for?
