It fetches customer records registered within the last 24 hours (from 00:00:00 to 23:59:59), checks against an existing Google Sheet to avoid reprocessing, and syncs only the new ones into Google Contacts. This n8n workflow automates the daily synchronization of customer data from a Magento 2 store to Google Contacts and Google Sheets, ensuring that no duplicate entries are created in either destination. It's designed to keep your customer lists up-to-date across multiple platforms efficiently.
What it does
- Triggers Daily: The workflow runs automatically on a scheduled basis (daily).
- Fetches Magento 2 Customers: It makes an HTTP request to your Magento 2 API to retrieve a list of all customers.
- Extracts Customer Data: It processes the raw Magento 2 customer data, extracting relevant fields like
email,firstname, andlastname. - Retrieves Existing Google Contacts: It fetches all existing contacts from your Google Contacts account.
- Retrieves Existing Google Sheet Data: It reads all existing customer emails from a specified Google Sheet.
- Compares Datasets: It compares the newly fetched Magento 2 customer emails against the emails already present in Google Contacts and Google Sheets to identify new customers.
- Filters for New Customers: Only customers whose emails are not found in either Google Contacts or Google Sheets are passed on for further processing.
- Adds New Customers to Google Contacts: For each new customer, it creates a new contact entry in Google Contacts with their first name, last name, and email.
- Appends New Customers to Google Sheets: For each new customer, it adds a new row to the specified Google Sheet with their first name, last name, and email.
Prerequisites/Requirements
- n8n Instance: A running n8n instance.
- Magento 2 Store: Access to a Magento 2 store with API access enabled.
- Google Account: A Google account with access to Google Contacts and Google Sheets.
- n8n Credentials:
- HTTP Request Credential: Configured for your Magento 2 API (e.g., OAuth 1.0 or Bearer Token).

- Google Contacts Credential: Configured with OAuth 2.0 for Google Contacts access.

Setup/Usage
- Import the workflow: Import the provided JSON into your n8n instance.
- Configure Credentials:
- HTTP Request (Magento 2): Update the "HTTP Request" node with your Magento 2 API endpoint and authentication details.
- Google Sheets: Set up a Google Sheets credential and select it in the "Google Sheets" node. Configure the "Spreadsheet ID" and "Sheet Name" where customer data should be added.
- Google Contacts: Set up a Google Contacts credential and select it in the "Google Contacts" node.
- Review Code Nodes: The "Code" nodes are used for data transformation and filtering. Review them to ensure they match your specific data structures if necessary.
