Automated Blog Creation and Multi-Platform Publishing with AI

This n8n workflow automates the entire process of generating blog post content using AI and then publishing it across multiple platforms, including WordPress, X (formerly Twitter), and LinkedIn. It simplifies content creation and distribution, saving time and ensuring consistent outreach.

What it does

This workflow automates the following steps:

  1. Trigger Content Generation: The workflow can be initiated manually, on a schedule, or via a Telegram message.
  2. Generate Blog Post Content with AI:
    • It uses a "Basic LLM Chain" to interact with a Large Language Model (LLM).
    • The LLM (which can be configured as OpenAI Chat Model, Azure OpenAI Chat Model, Google Gemini Chat Model, or OpenRouter Chat Model) is prompted to generate blog post content.
    • A "Structured Output Parser" ensures the AI-generated content adheres to a predefined JSON structure, making it easy to extract the title, content, and other relevant information.
  3. Prepare Content: The generated content is processed and formatted using an "Edit Fields (Set)" node.
  4. Conditional Publishing: An "If" node checks if the generated content is valid or meets certain criteria before proceeding with publishing.
  5. Publish to WordPress: If the content is valid, it's published as a new post on a configured WordPress site.
  6. Aggregate and Split for Social Media:
    • An "Aggregate" node collects the output from the WordPress publishing step.
    • A "Split Out" node then prepares the content for individual social media posts.
  7. Publish to X (formerly Twitter): The blog post's title or a summary is posted as a tweet.
  8. Publish to LinkedIn: The blog post's title or a summary is posted to LinkedIn.

Prerequisites/Requirements

To use this workflow, you will need:

  • n8n Instance: A running n8n instance.
  • AI Language Model Credentials:
    • OpenAI API Key (for OpenAI Chat Model)
    • Azure OpenAI Credentials (for Azure OpenAI Chat Model)
    • Google Gemini API Key (for Google Gemini Chat Model)
    • OpenRouter API Key (for OpenRouter Chat Model)
  • WordPress Account: Credentials for your WordPress site (API access enabled).
  • X (formerly Twitter) Account: Credentials for your X account (API access enabled).
  • LinkedIn Account: Credentials for your LinkedIn account (API access enabled).
  • Telegram Bot (Optional): If you intend to trigger the workflow via Telegram, you'll need a Telegram Bot token and chat ID.

Setup/Usage

  1. Import the Workflow: Download the JSON provided and import it into your n8n instance.
  2. Configure Credentials:
    • For the "Basic LLM Chain" node, select or create credentials for your chosen AI language model (OpenAI, Azure OpenAI, Google Gemini, or OpenRouter).
    • Configure the "Wordpress" node with your WordPress credentials.
    • Configure the "X (Formerly Twitter)" node with your X credentials.
    • Configure the "LinkedIn" node with your LinkedIn credentials.
    • If using the "Telegram Trigger", configure it with your Telegram Bot API token.
  3. Customize AI Prompts: Adjust the prompts within the "Basic LLM Chain" node to guide the AI in generating the desired blog content (e.g., specify topics, tone, length).
  4. Define Output Structure: Review and, if necessary, modify the schema in the "Structured Output Parser" node to match the expected JSON output from your LLM (e.g., fields for title, content, tags, etc.).
  5. Adjust Content Formatting: Modify the "Edit Fields (Set)" node to format the AI-generated content as needed before publishing.
  6. Configure Publishing Options:
    • In the "Wordpress" node, set the post type, status, and map the AI-generated title and content to the correct fields.
    • In the "X (Formerly Twitter)" and "LinkedIn" nodes, customize the message content to include the blog post title and a link (if available).
  7. Choose Trigger:
    • Manual Trigger: Use the "When clicking ‘Execute workflow’" node for on-demand execution.
    • Schedule Trigger: Configure the "Schedule Trigger" node to run the workflow at specific intervals (e.g., daily, weekly).

🎓 How to transform unstructured email data into structured format with AI agent

This workflow automates the process of extracting structured, usable information from unstructured email messages across multiple platforms. It connects directly to Gmail, Outlook, and IMAP accounts, retrieves incoming emails, and sends their content to an AI-powered parsing agent built on OpenAI GPT models. The AI agent analyzes each email, identifies relevant details, and returns a clean JSON structure containing key fields: From – sender’s email address To – recipient’s email address Subject – email subject line Summary – short AI-generated summary of the email body The extracted information is then automatically inserted into an n8n Data Table, creating a structured database of email metadata and summaries ready for indexing, reporting, or integration with other tools. --- Key Benefits ✅ Full Automation: Eliminates manual reading and data entry from incoming emails. ✅ Multi-Source Integration: Handles data from different email providers seamlessly. ✅ AI-Driven Accuracy: Uses advanced language models to interpret complex or unformatted content. ✅ Structured Storage: Creates a standardized, query-ready dataset from previously unstructured text. ✅ Time Efficiency: Processes emails in real time, improving productivity and response speed. *✅ Scalability: Easily extendable to handle additional sources or extract more data fields. --- How it works This workflow automates the transformation of unstructured email data into a structured, queryable format. It operates through a series of connected steps: Email Triggering: The workflow is initiated by one of three different email triggers (Gmail, Microsoft Outlook, or a generic IMAP account), which constantly monitor for new incoming emails. AI-Powered Parsing & Structuring: When a new email is detected, its raw, unstructured content is passed to a central "Parsing Agent." This agent uses a specified OpenAI language model to intelligently analyze the email text. Data Extraction & Standardization: Following a predefined system prompt, the AI agent extracts key information from the email, such as the sender, recipient, subject, and a generated summary. It then forces the output into a strict JSON structure using a "Structured Output Parser" node, ensuring data consistency. Data Storage: Finally, the clean, structured data (the from, to, subject, and summarize fields) is inserted as a new row into a specified n8n Data Table, creating a searchable and reportable database of email information. --- Set up steps To implement this workflow, follow these configuration steps: Prepare the Data Table: Create a new Data Table within n8n. Define the columns with the following names and string type: From, To, Subject, and Summary. Configure Email Credentials: Set up the credential connections for the email services you wish to use (Gmail OAuth2, Microsoft Outlook OAuth2, and/or IMAP). Ensure the accounts have the necessary permissions to read emails. Configure AI Model Credentials: Set up the OpenAI API credential with a valid API key. The workflow is configured to use the model, but this can be changed in the respective nodes if needed. Connect the Nodes: The workflow canvas is already correctly wired. Visually confirm that the email triggers are connected to the "Parsing Agent," which is connected to the "Insert row" (Data Table) node. Also, ensure the "OpenAI Chat Model" and "Structured Output Parser" are connected to the "Parsing Agent" as its AI model and output parser, respectively. Activate the Workflow: Save the workflow and toggle the "Active" switch to ON. The triggers will begin polling for new emails according to their schedule (e.g., every minute), and the automation will start processing incoming messages. --- Need help customizing?
