Automatic Typebot flows two-way sync with GitHub using Typebot API

How it works
This workflow will backup your typebots to GitHub. It uses the Typebot API to export all typebots.
It then loops over the data, checks in GitHub to see if a file exists that uses the credential's ID. Once checked it will:
- update the file on GitHub if it exists;
- create a new file if it doesn't exist;
- ignore if it's the same.
In addition, it also checks if any flow have been deleted from typebot workspace. If a flow no longer exists in workspace, the corresponding file will be removed from the repository to keep everything in sync.

Prerequisites/Requirements
- n8n Instance: A running n8n instance to host and execute the workflow.
- GitHub Account: Access to a GitHub account and a Personal Access Token (PAT) with appropriate permissions for the repositories you intend to interact with.
- n8n GitHub Credential: A configured GitHub credential within n8n to authenticate HTTP requests to the GitHub API.
- Sub-workflows (Optional but Recommended): This workflow is designed to call other sub-workflows for specific GitHub operations. You will need to create and configure these sub-workflows based on your specific use cases.
Setup/Usage
- Import the Workflow: Import the provided JSON into your n8n instance.
- Configure Credentials:
- Add a new GitHub credential in n8n if you don't have one already. This credential will be used by the "GitHub" node.
- Ensure any HTTP Request nodes that interact with the GitHub API are configured to use this GitHub credential or an appropriate API key/token.
- Define Sub-workflows: Create and configure the sub-workflows that this main workflow will execute (e.g., workflows for creating issues, listing repositories, etc.). The
Execute Sub-workflownodes will need to be configured with the IDs of these sub-workflows. - Configure the Trigger:
- If using the Manual Trigger, simply click "Execute Workflow" to run it.
- If using the Schedule Trigger, configure the desired interval for automatic execution.
- If using the Execute Workflow Trigger, ensure another workflow is set up to call this workflow and pass the necessary input data, including the
operationfield for routing.
- Customize the Logic:
- Edit Fields (Set) and Code nodes can be modified to transform input data as needed.
- Switch node: Adjust the conditions to match the
operationvalues you expect and add or modify branches to call different sub-workflows or perform unique actions. - HTTP Request nodes: Configure the specific GitHub API endpoints, methods, and body data for your desired operations.
- If nodes: Add or modify conditions to introduce more complex decision-making.
- Activate the Workflow: Once configured, activate the workflow to enable its scheduled or triggered execution.
