What it does
This workflow runs daily to:
- Trigger Daily: Initiates the workflow at a scheduled time each day.
- Fetch Calendar Events: Retrieves all upcoming events from your Google Calendar for the current day.
- Fetch Relevant Emails: Searches your Gmail for emails related to the calendar events (e.g., meeting invites, follow-ups).
- Filter Emails: Filters out any irrelevant emails, ensuring only pertinent communications are processed.
- Prepare Data for AI: Combines the calendar event details and filtered email content into a structured format suitable for AI processing.
- Generate AI Digest: Uses an AI Agent (powered by a Chat LLM like GPT-4o or Claude via OpenRouter) to analyze the combined data and generate a concise, intelligent digest of your day's meetings and related information.
- Format Digest: Converts the AI-generated digest into a readable Markdown format.
- Output Digest: Delivers the final digest, ready for use (e.g., sending as an email, posting to a chat application, or storing).
Prerequisites/Requirements
- n8n Instance: A running instance of n8n.
- Google Calendar Account: Connected to n8n with appropriate credentials to read calendar events.
- Gmail Account: Connected to n8n with appropriate credentials to search and read emails.
- OpenRouter Account: An API key for OpenRouter to access large language models (LLMs) like GPT-4o or Claude.
- AI Agent Node: The

Setup/Usage
- Import the Workflow:
- Copy the provided JSON code.
- In your n8n instance, go to "Workflows" and click "New".
- Click the three dots (...) in the top right corner and select "Import from JSON".
- Paste the JSON and click "Import".
- Configure Credentials:
- Locate the "Google Calendar" node and configure your Google Calendar credentials.
- Locate the "Gmail" node and configure your Gmail credentials.
- Locate the "OpenRouter Chat Model" node and configure your OpenRouter API key.
- Adjust Schedule (Optional):
- The "Schedule Trigger" node is configured to run daily. You can adjust the frequency and time as needed.
- Customize AI Prompt (Optional):
- The "AI Agent" and "Basic LLM Chain" nodes contain the logic for generating the digest. You might want to review and customize the prompts or agent instructions to tailor the output to your specific needs.
- Activate the Workflow:
- Once all credentials are set and configurations are reviewed, activate the workflow by toggling the "Active" switch in the top right corner of the workflow editor.
