AI Twitter Content Machine – Write, Refine & Publish Tweets on Autopilot

This workflow is perfect for creators, solopreneurs, and personal brands who want to consistently publish bold, high-performing content on X (Twitter) — without writing a single line themselves. After a one-time setup, it automatically generates tweet ideas, writes in your voice, evaluates post quality, avoids duplicates, and publishes directly to Twitter. All approvals and rewrites are handled in a conversational loop powered by OpenAI, Discord, and Google Sheets.

Whether you’re building a personal brand or growing your startup audience, this tool will help you stay active, edgy, and relevant — with zero friction.

How it works

  • Distill what your flow does in a few high-level steps.
  • Loads your brand brief from a sub-workflow.
  • Generates a tweet idea aligned with your tone.
  • Checks Google Sheets to ensure the idea hasn’t been used.
  • Writes the post.
  • Evaluates it using a feedback sub-workflow — if the quality score is below 0.7, it rewrites the post.
  • Refines tone and voice using a Rewriter Agent that mimics your past content (from a Google Sheet).
  • Sends the final post to a Discord channel for manual approval.
  • On approval, posts directly to Twitter (X) and logs it to Google Sheets (History and Examples tabs).

Set up steps

  • Give users an idea of how long setup will take. Don’t describe every detail.
  • Keep detailed descriptions in sticky notes inside your workflow.

Key benefits

  • No burnout, no block – Stop spending energy thinking what to tweet. AI handles everything.
  • Style-matching – Posts sound like you, not a generic robot. Based on your real writing.
  • Fast & scalable – Publish once or five times a day — it’s up to you.
  • Avoid duplicates – Each idea is checked against your post history.
  • Human-in-the-loop – You approve final posts via Discord. No rogue tweets.

Integrations required

  • n8n
  • OpenAI API
  • Google Sheets
  • Twitter (OAuth2)
  • Discord (for approval)
  • Notion (optional for brand brief storage)

Automated Tweet Generator & Publisher with GPT-4, Discord, and Google Sheets

This n8n workflow automates the process of generating tweet ideas using an AI agent (GPT-4), collecting feedback on these ideas via Discord, and then publishing approved tweets to X (formerly Twitter). It also records the status of each tweet in a Google Sheet and Notion database for tracking.

What it does

This workflow streamlines your social media content creation and publishing by:

  1. Triggering the process: It can be executed manually or called as a sub-workflow by another n8n workflow.
  2. Generating Tweet Ideas: An AI Agent (configured with an OpenAI Chat Model) generates tweet ideas based on a defined prompt.
  3. Collecting Feedback via Discord: The generated tweet ideas are posted to a designated Discord channel, awaiting approval or rejection from a human.
  4. Handling Discord Feedback:
    • If a tweet is approved on Discord, it proceeds to be published.
    • If a tweet is rejected on Discord, its status is updated in Google Sheets and Notion, and the process for that tweet ends.
  5. Publishing to X (Twitter): Approved tweets are automatically posted to your X (Twitter) account.
  6. Updating Google Sheets: The status of each tweet (generated, approved, rejected, published) is recorded in a Google Sheet for tracking and analytics.
  7. Updating Notion: Similarly, tweet details and their status are updated in a Notion database, providing a centralized content calendar or tracking system.
  8. Aggregating Results: It aggregates the final status of all processed tweets.

Prerequisites/Requirements

To use this workflow, you will need:

  • n8n Instance: A running n8n instance.
  • OpenAI API Key: For the AI Agent (GPT-4) to generate tweet ideas.
  • Discord Account & Bot: A Discord server and a bot configured with appropriate permissions to post messages and receive reactions for approvals/rejections.
  • Google Sheets Account: A Google Sheet set up to record tweet data (e.g., tweet content, status, timestamp).
  • X (Twitter) Developer Account & API Keys: For publishing tweets via the X API.
  • Notion Account & Integration: A Notion database configured to store tweet information, and an n8n Notion integration.
  • Sub-workflow: This workflow is designed to be executed as a sub-workflow, meaning it expects to be called by another workflow that passes it initial data.

Setup/Usage

  1. Import the Workflow: Import the provided JSON into your n8n instance.
  2. Configure Credentials:
    • Set up your OpenAI API Key credential for the "OpenAI Chat Model" node.
    • Configure your Discord Bot Token credential for the "Discord" node.
    • Set up your Google Sheets credential for the "Google Sheets" node.
    • Configure your X (Twitter) credential for the "X" node.
    • Set up your Notion credential for the "Notion" node.
  3. Customize Nodes:
    • AI Agent (GPT-4): Adjust the prompt to guide the AI in generating tweet ideas relevant to your content strategy.
    • Discord: Specify the Discord channel ID where tweet ideas should be posted for review. Configure the reaction emojis for approval/rejection (e.g., ✅ for approve, ❌ for reject).
    • Google Sheets: Update the Spreadsheet ID, sheet name, and column mappings to match your Google Sheet structure.
    • X (Twitter): Ensure the "Tweet" operation is configured correctly.
    • Notion: Update the database ID and property mappings to match your Notion database structure.
    • If Node: Customize the conditions for approval/rejection based on the Discord reactions.
  4. Execute Workflow:
    • You can manually trigger the workflow using the "When clicking ‘Execute workflow’" node for testing.
    • For production, this workflow is intended to be called by another n8n workflow using the "Execute Workflow Trigger" node, passing it the necessary input to generate tweets.

If AI returns non-JSON, keep “Return only a JSON array” as the last line of the prompt and keep jsonOutput enabled. Consider adding validation on parsing.warnings to gate Salesforce writes. For discounts/taxes in OLI: Standard OLI fields don’t support per-line discount amounts directly; model them in UnitPrice or custom fields. Replace the Composite API URL with your org’s domain or use the Salesforce node’s Bulk Upsert for simplicity.
