This n8n workflow automates the process of retrieving detailed customer and product information whenever a new charge is successfully made in Stripe. It acts as a listener for Stripe events and then enriches that event data by making additional API calls.
What it does
This workflow simplifies the process of getting comprehensive details about a Stripe charge by:
- Listens for new Stripe charges: It triggers automatically when a
charge.succeededevent occurs in your Stripe account. - Extracts customer and product IDs: From the incoming Stripe charge data, it identifies the customer ID and the product ID associated with the purchase.
- Retrieves customer details: It makes an HTTP request to the Stripe API to fetch the full customer object using the extracted customer ID.
- Retrieves product details: It makes another HTTP request to the Stripe API to fetch the full product object using the extracted product ID.
- Combines and structures data: It then uses a "Set" node to combine the original charge data with the newly retrieved customer and product details into a consolidated output, making it easier to use in subsequent steps (e.g., sending to a CRM, updating a database, or sending notifications).
Prerequisites/Requirements
